Asian weather vs. European weather

I love weather in Taiwan – there is no winter. Never cold and even rain is warm.
Unfortunately in Poland every mid. of September I realize that it’s going to be cold soon.

To make myself more happy than unhappy I’ll do pros and cons about the weather:

Taiwan:
typhoon
monsoon
raining season
humidity – my hair looks like vomit, but my skin looks perfect
extremely hot in summer – in July I wanted to marry AC - air conditioner
no snow – love it
blooms all year round
more sun that in Poland
no need to wear a heavy jackets
more/less stable temperature
no condition for outdoor jogging in spring and summer

Poland:
floods – sometimes
blooms only in summer - no sakura :(
snow, snow, snow – my car breaks down every year starting with November…
rain is always cold
no humidity – my hair looks perfect, but my skin is very dry
nasty weather – for example in summer - Monday is 36 Celsius degrees, the next day – Tuesday is raining and it’s 20 degrees.
in winter everyone gets depressed, cause we wake up when it’s dark, and when we go back home it’s already dark – no sun
no condition for outdoor jogging in winter (including November and March)

Struggling with thesis

Worst thing is that there is a new “act”, not complete, not considering special cases… Just the new act, that I need to be done with my thesis by the end of September… As nobody knows nothing, how to deal with Higher Education Act – it is safer to write, write and write every day. I’m not very enthusiastic about my exam I passed yesterday anymore – it was way too easy… This is actually a real challenge.

So I am writing fourth chapter. Luckily my topic is about Nestlé company, so I have some cool pictures taken in some countries. And I’m done with questionnaires… anyway, if somebody think he can write something very fast and nicely, he’s wrong. This is the real pain :D And my productive brain is aching.

Just passed my very last exam :D

After 5 years of studying, I am finally approaching to an end of my student career. And just passed my very last exam, got B+ so now I’m technically free to finish my thesis and defend it. Suddenly I feel so released, it was a great time. And maybe, I have to underline it MAYBE, I’ll miss those exams, group studying, group “beer” after session ends. Now I’ll have one more final while defense, so this one will be tough.
But I’m so happpyyy to be (almost) done with my university stuff :D

Ukrainian countryside

Ukraine is beautiful – and country sides are brilliant. Two thing to remember – it’s not easy to get there and people use only Ukrainian slang. For example in Carpathian villages people hate Russians language and they do not say “hi” they say “Glory to Jesus Christ” or something like this, if you answer else that “Forever Glory to God” they will not like you. It is good when you speak Ukrainian, and another good thing is that everything is organic and tasty: real milk, real vegetables, water right from the well.

Proud of Poland

Every time my friend are visiting me, I feel so proud to show them around. I should admit, that when I go to Krakow I feel great. I’ve been there with every of my friend – and they loved it as well. Probably next time I should take them to Wroclaw as well. Some cities are just awesome and Krakow or Wroclaw are definitely at this list.
Lately I really love to take a walk in a city center in Katowice. As I’ve been living in Silesia for over ten years, I have seen the city developing. I remember the big opening of Silesia Gallery, New train Station, our great Library and I can’t wait the huge, fat opening of Technological Center-Building of my University.

One thing I discovered in the Katowice center – prices are available for students. I went to have a coffee in Mariacka street and I paid 5 zł – a little bit more than one EUR. I think I’ll go there more often now, not only with my international friends but also with my polish ones.
Gonna be a new UEK building

UEK flag goes with me to Salzburg!!!

During my Erasmus every student went to Salzburg – but me. First time I was sick, second time hangovered, third time something else… Anyway, I finally took a chance and went to Salzburg. I always take my University flag with me to shoot some nice pictures, so this time the weather was just brilliant and I could not miss the great aura of Salzburg beauty.

So there are my experiments with flag and my Shanghainese friend Jenny as a model!
This one is actually Vienna :P
