The capital city of
Indonesia is Jakarta in Java island, but somehow I feel that the beautiful
“royal” capital of Java is Yogyakarta. Places are worth to visit, especially
Borobudur and Prambanan, but also the palace museum, water castle or
traditional markets. People are also stock to their culture. And it’s rare to
see many foreigners there, so I was asked to take a lot of picture with locals.
Yogyakarta is one of those places where you can take rickshaw for three dollars
and be driven anywhere you want. I spend
only four days in Yogyakarta, although is not enough. We also had a chance to
see the sunrise at 5 a.m. We climbed the mountain nearby Borobudur and right
from the forest we could see the sun going up through the mountains –
unforgettable.
